These scissors are too pliable

Comments about 5" Kid Proof All Nylon Safety Scissors

All I can say is that these scissors are so pliable that the handles or blades can easily be bent apart, after which they no longer cut. I think they're likely to lead to endless frustrations for a little child that is just learning to cut.

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

When the scissors arrived, I gave one pair to my 28 month old daughter and she started cutting the paper. I used another pair to show her how to cut shapes and when I started cutting, the scissors broke in two pieces. They don't appear to me to be constructed as well as I had hoped. I am a Nurse Practioner and see many injuries from scissors and I am hoping that these will keep my daughter safe.
